**********Contains Spoilers**********What a awesome final book. Diesel is heartbroken as he thought he lost his charge, friend, mate and omega when their pack was blown up by a h*llfire bomb sent by Portal as to get rid of Quinlan since he was the Nephilim they were targetting. After everything that Pierce did to betray Quin, Diesel and their pack both old and new they go to the mansion that he’d got given in his Portal contract as well as a weapon and when they find a door that has demon blood on it, they open it and are attacked and it’s Quinlan, he’s alive but when Diesel tries to talk to him his wraiths cover him he screams over and over you’re not real until he passes out. Everyone is shocked that Quin is alive and attacked them for some reason. They find out when he wakes up and freaks out and Jazz and the other Nephilim get it out of him that Pierce showed him these truths or what he’d call truths and he saw all the alphas doing extremely atrocious things like mu*dering multiple children etc and had Diesel constantly attack and kill Quin in multiple times and Pierce was featured as the hero is basically every scenario and Huntley was the comic relief. Pierce used gas and the weapon he received from his soul contract to hijack his nightmares.You can just see how hard this is for Diesel to finally find out that his mate isn’t dead and then to have that mate extremely scared of you, I’m not saying it’s easy on Quin with everything he’s been through. I loved the connection between all the Nephilim and how they help Quin to work out what’s truth or lie. I loved this second chance romance between Quin and Diesel and I think this helped that both Quin and Diesel are different people than they previously were after everything they’d both been through, as since Quin was Diesel’s charge he always saw him a pure and basically untouchable and that Quin didn’t deserve being strapped to him as a mate so since they’ve both changed it probably made it easier for Diesel to finally claim Quin, and also thinking he was dead it made him realise how stupid he’d been in trying to protect Quin from himself. I loved the togetherness of the new pack and that even though the alphas are all overbearing protective but loveable a*seholes they all fight together as one pack. I loved Sitka’s outfits that he made for the pack for their ball especially Jazz’s gown and Knox’s reaction to it. I really loved the addition of Claus he was such a hoot, I’m looking forward to reading about what antics he gets up to while in Walker County. I’d happily read any books from this universe or any books written by Kiki, so keep them coming. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone. Well the wait is over book 4 in the Wolves of Royal Paynes Outlaw is here. We finally get Diesels story, he has been the strong silent protector of this pack, always there to help save the day but never getting his HEA till now. In the 1st book we learned of Diesel's pain caused by the loss of his mate Quinlan, in this book we learn what happened to Quinlan and how Diesel is reunited with his mate. This book seemed a little rushed compared to the 1st 3 books, less world building or character introductions, but the love between Diesel & Quinlan, and what they have to go through to get their HEA was fantastic. The world of Wolves that Kiki Burrelli has created with these series is fantastic so I for one can't wait for the next one to began.I Received this ARC for an honest review.
