This was one of the two Dear Daddy books that I was looking forward to since they were announced… and it didn’t disappoint. I am so glad I got an opportunity to read it.Eric is a younger man, who is an absolutely adorable little, wanting nothing more than a Daddy. He has had a bad run with Daddies, claiming he was too needy or clingy, so they leave him after one or a few scenes. Even more, he wants a Daddy all the time, not just for scenes. So he writes a letter to Santa on the Cuff’d app and the fun begins!Clint and Dalton are great. The author takes the strongest characteristics many of us attribute to Daddies and splits them between the two men. Clint is the grounding, protective, more serious of the men; Dalton is the fun-loving, encouraging, and emotional one. They have a past that weighs on them and, when Dalton finds Eric’s letter, the solution is right in front of him, no matter how unusual.The author does a wonderful job of showcasing the growing emotions of the throuple as their attachments to each other grow, from the initial caution and wary excitement, to the wonderous and fulfilling HEA. She also illustrates very valid concerns as the relationship grows, tempering what many would likely think as “it’s happening so quickly!”Ultimately, it’s a wonderfully balanced holiday story with a ton of love, cuteness, and three men who end up fitting together very well. Unfortunately, this was yet another DNF for me. In my personal opinion, this entire series was a disappointment for the most part.This is the 5th book in this series that I could not finish, but I've kept giving it the benefit of the doubt. No more!The only book that I found engrossing, authentic and enjoyable is the one by Chara Croft.I agree with so many other reviewers; this book started out quite delightful.I loved the approach and wording of the Santa letter. I loved the concept.I even liked that the "initial contact" was off page and that there was no lustful innuendo or even flirting during the first meeting between the three men.So, up to around 30%, the author was on a roll. After that, the book began a sluggish downward slide.I'm an enormous fan of age-play romance, and have read many books with this trope, by numerous different authors. This is a trope that can be heartwarming, sweet and sexy if done right. Many authors have gotten it right. However, this scenario just gave the impression that we have two 40 year old guys playing house.There seemed to be no depth to their (developing) relationship.The switch from "little space" to adult in the Mc (Eric) was also far too abrupt.I hung around through the first steamy session and, besides being thrown by the unlikely logistics of the 3-way, the scene was certainly nothing to write home about.Sorry. This book was not worth my time or my money. I returned it for refund.
