This story took so long to get through. The character of Nadia Gaines was excruciatingly difficult to bare, Eva Warren is like a wannabe Victoria Blake, and the book as a whole is utterly droll. I need a break from Billings and Danes. And seriously, can we pay a little more attention to the covers of these books. If you are lazy and just copy and paste a couple of models "looking" lesbian pictures that are used on other books, then do us a favor and just have the cover as text titled. I say this because the blond on this cover has long blond hair, guess what? Eva Warren has short hair, yeah, not like the cover. Have some respect for your product people. This is a really hard book to review. I read it in one sitting but I skimmed a bunch of parts because it was repetitive. It felt like the same story was being told across 3 books smashed into one volume. So it got really boring but I liked the writing and wanted to know if it got better.Often, I wonder if I am too hard on f/f romances. Do I set my expectations too high? I really wanted to love this - a rich heiress and a coy secretary with a bit of light kink and super incredibly hot bedroom scenes. But I got frustrated with so many things.There are times it sounds like MCs are super judgmental toward bisexual people, and then there are times where they are best friends with them. There's a side f/f couple who are both bi and very messy. I am fine with messy bis, but the way the story frames them, it often seemed like they were messy BECAUSE they were bi and not because of their personal hangups.No idea if I can rec this book or not. I didn't hate this but I didn't love it either.
